A Message from Our COO Regarding COVID-19
As the world continues to feel the increased impact of the Coronavirus, I wanted to take a moment to remind you that the safety and health of our team members and tenants, has always been a priority. We always strive to take great care of our team members and tenants to provide white-glove service. We are monitoring the situation each day to ensure that we are responding and serving you and your employees appropriately.
We have requested our janitorial crews provide us with Material Safety Data Sheets for each cleaning chemical used in our buildings to ensure that germs and viruses are being tackled during the cleaning process. On top of our daily cleaning procedures, we are adding additional cleaning cycles to make our routines even more rigorous. This means more time will be spent cleaning surfaces, doorknobs, handrails, touchscreens etc., several times a day. All tenant lounges and bathrooms will be cleaned 3 times per day. We ask your assistance in letting us know if there are issues that need addressing in these areas.
We are adding additional hand sanitizer stands at elevator doors and entrances (as supplies are available) and disinfectant wipes and sprays can be located at the security stands. In addition, we have posted signs in our elevators and at various locations throughout the building reminding all visitors of how to prevent the spread of the infection. Like many others, we are taking our guidance from the CDC, which recommends regular cleaning as one of the most important preventive measures we can take.
We have educated team Hartman on the precautions of spreading the virus and supplied them with additional supplies such as hand sanitizers, gloves, masks and sanitizer spray. Twice a day we are cleaning all surfaces inside our offices: desktops, door handles, phones, keyboards, handles, computer equipment, kitchens and all conference rooms. Our CEO held a company-wide call this morning encouraging everyone to take advantage of their PTO time if they were feeling sick, reminded everyone of our work from home policy and addressed non-essential travel. I encourage each of you to do the same. After all, we are in this prevention mode together.
If you feel you need additional services that are not currently being provided, please contact your property manager.
As the situation evolves, we may implement additional measures to ensure our tenants and team members well-being. Thank you in advance for your patience as we navigate this challenging situation one day at a time, to determine how we can best serve you, our team members and our communities.
