Hartman Announces Clean Air Initiative in Office Buildings to Fight Covid-19
September 4, 2020 – (HOUSTON) Hartman Income REIT Management (Hartman), a commercial real estate firm management based in Houston, TX, announces its Clean Air Initiative as an additional effort to help protect its tenants from Covid-19 and other air-borne viruses by installing the Needlepoint Bi-Polar Ionization system.
With more than 60 office buildings across Texas, Hartman once again demonstrates its commitments to the safety and wellbeing of its tenants with this investment. This is in combination with earlier launched initiatives such as additional cleaning protocols, social distancing measures, and awareness of CDC guidelines.
As one of the first office property owners leading the market with the installation of the GPS Bi-Polar Ionization devices, Hartman has installed the device on all ten floors of its property at 613 NW Loop 410 in San Antonio and is in the process of installation at three additional properties, 11211 Katy Freeway, 2909 Hillcroft, and 2040 North Loop West in Houston.
“The health and safety of our tenants has always been and always will be our number one priority,” states Al Hartman, Chairman and CEO. “We are constantly looking for alternative ways to improve our tenants’ experiences at our properties. This investment offers protection and peace of mind to our tenants and their patrons.”
The technology of Needlepoint Bi-Polar Ionization implements an air cleaning process that eliminates over 96% of airborne pathogens, molds, and viruses. The compact air purification device can be directly attached to an AC unit and can clean up to 3,200 CFM (cubic feet per minute.) According to HVAC & Refrigeration Insider, the process is scientifically proven to destroy 84% of Coronaviruses within 10 minutes and can destroy up to 99.4% of the Coronaviruses within 30 minutes.
Hartman’s Director of Operations for Property Management, Angel Gonzales, proudly stated, “The fact that Hartman cares so much about our tenants that we are implementing leading edge technology like the ionization system is incredible. One of the most common questions we are asked by a prospective tenant is building health and safety. So, to be able to tell them about our clean air initiative is a very compelling advantage we have over other buildings they might be considering.”
Vice-President of Leasing for San Antonio, where the first property had the devices installed, Kacie Skeen shared, “Hartman taking the proactive initiative to install Needlepoint Bipolar Ionization into the building, serves as a testament to the Company’s core value of caring for the customer. We value our tenant’s, their employees, their patrons, and our team, so it comes as no surprise that Hartman is making this investment to procure a safe working environment and is helping businesses facilitate their return to work. ”
Hartman views this addition to its health and safety precautions as a value-add for both current and future tenants at the implemented properties. Hartman is proud to pioneer a clean air movement and provide its tenants with the best conditions to run their businesses and find success.
