Allen R. Hartman (Al Hartman) is the President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board of Directors at Hartman Advisors and the CEO of Hartman Income REIT Management. Hartman was established in 1983. As of 2019, the firm employed more than 200 employees and managed more than 60 properties, comprising over eight million square feet, in Texas.
In 1978, Al Hartman started his career selling home improvement services to residential owners. By 1983, Hartman developed a proprietary value-oriented investment strategy, which formed the foundation of the “Hartman Advantage.” Through the late 1980s and early 1990s, he purchased approximately 20 foreclosures. Today, those assets are stable and generating significant cash flow.
Since 1983, Hartman has sponsored 25 programs, and manages nearly $800 million in assets under management as of the end of 2019. Over the past 36 years, Al Hartman has refined his value-oriented investment strategy and led a team of executives to deliver value to nearly 6,000 investors.
Al Hartman is a member of the ‘C’ club, Houston Breakfast Club, ADISSA-REIT Organization, REISA-REIT Organization, C-12 and Vision America. He supports various faith-based organizations and serves as a Deacon at Second Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. He also serves on the board of the Houston Area Pastors Council and The Elijah Challenge Ministry.
